We are entering a season of harvesting and celebration. We recognize that this time can be especially challenging — financially, emotionally, psychological, and spiritually — for those struggling to make ends meet.
There are many different ways that we can all support each other during this season, one of which is to organize a food drive or a special fundraising event that contributes to the food security movement.
If this is something that you, your school, or your organization would like to get involved in, please reach out to us at the Food Bank. We can help you with promotion, drop off collection bins, share current information about food security in Canada and the Comox Valley, and pick up the donations on a day that works for you. There may be something specific we are looking for at the time, so it may be especially helpful if you were able to run a targeted food drive. Additionally, there may already be an initiative or event being organized nearby that we can connect you with.
