It’s back-to-school time in the Comox Valley. For many families, that means the usual excitement of new teachers, new backpacks, and fresh starts. But for too many of our neighbours, it also means extra pressure — stretching their budgets to cover lunches and healthy snacks.
That’s where you can help!
This fall, the Comox Valley Food Bank is launching our Back-to-School 50/50 Raffle. One lucky winner will take home half the jackpot, while the other half helps us provide lunches and snacks for youth across the Valley. Every ticket you buy helps keep kids nourished and ready to learn!

Learning on an empty stomach is tough. Hunger makes it harder for kids to concentrate, remember, and engage in the classroom. Proper nutrition and hydration fuel the brain, giving kids the sustained energy they need. By providing snacks and school lunches, we help ensure every child has the best chance at excelling in school.
This raffle is more than a fundraiser — it’s a way for neighbours to come together and make sure every child in the Comox Valley starts the school year with the food they need to thrive.
