Your Garden Can Feed the Comox Valley
Spring is here, and if you’re already thinking about what to plant, we have one small suggestion:
Grow a row for your neighbours!
The Comox Valley Food Bank’s Grow a Row program is exactly what it sounds like: when you’re planning your garden this year, consider adding an extra row (or a few extra seeds) with us in mind. Zucchini, kale, peppers, tomatoes, beans — whatever grows well in your space. When harvest time comes, your bounty goes to one of your neighbours.
Fresh Produce Makes a Real Difference
There’s a common misconception that food banks only accept canned and packaged goods. Fresh food is always welcome here, and always needed. Every day, the Comox Valley shows up for more than 200 families, and fresh produce is one of the most meaningful things we can offer them.
Donating is Easy
Drop fresh produce directly at the Food Bank during business hours, or give us a call and we’ll arrange a pickup — we have a refrigerated van and we’re always happy to use it.

Ready to grow a row?
Whether you have a backyard garden, a few containers on a balcony, or a larger property — there’s a version of this that works for you. Plan a little extra this season. Your harvest could be someone’s dinner.
