Every day, the Comox Valley Food Bank feeds more than 200 people from Cook Creek to Oyster River. That’s only possible because this community keeps showing up, through food drives, volunteering, and donations. 

Today we’re inviting you to support us in a new way. A Seat at the Table is our new monthly giving program. It’s a simple way to give a little every month and help keep the food bank steady all year long. 

A lot of the food on our shelves is rescued or donated by this amazing community. But a quarter of the food we share, we actually have to buy. Mostly it’s important staples like protein and dairy, and it takes money every month. 

Almost half of the donations we receive each year arrive in December. We’re grateful for every one of them. But our neighbours eat all year long, not just over the holidays. 

A gift in December goes a long way. A gift every month lets us plan for all twelve. 

What your gift does 

• $25 a month puts 80 fresh eggs on our shelves. 

• $50 a month fuels the food rescue truck for a full day, saving nearly 5,000 lbs of food. 

• $100 a month covers the food we purchase for 10 shopping visits. 

You can give any amount that works for you, and change or cancel your gift at any time. 

Every month, we rescue more than 100,000 lbs of good food from local producers and distributors. Our neighbours made more than 55,000 visits in 2025, and we’re open five days a week providing barrier free access to food, with no cost and no screening.
